About Lin Mar Towing

In 1958, the village of Morton Grove was a thriving business community. Lincoln Avenue, which at one time was the only road leading to the community, was no longer its main street. Because of the change in traffic patterns and declining sales, the DeSoto Plymouth dealer, decided to move on. Wally Lundin, a mechanic at the dealership, saw this as an opporunity for another type of business at that location, a one-stop automotive service shop. That business was named Lin-Mar after the intersection where it was located, Lincoln and Marmora.

Eventually, Wally's son Ron became interested in the business, and Lin-Mar soon became a family business. Ron's sons Ron Jr. and Tony have now taken over the operations of the towing department of Lin-Mar. Over the years Lin-Mar Towing has expanded from one tow truck to over 25 pieces of equipment. "Without my Dad and Grandfather, we would not be here today", says Ron Jr. "We have grown to be one of Chicagoland's elite towing and recovery outfit".
